New Harbor Freight Coupons! Good for May 2017

I am always excited when I get either the new flyer or a new email about Harbor Freight!  Today I found the new Harbor Freight coupons that are good through the entire month of May (2017)!

Harbor Freight has a great selection of tools at unbeatable prices.  There is so much to choose from.  Use the 20% off coupon to purchase something at a discount.  Then you can use the “Free with purchase” coupon in addition!  Only one “Free with purchase” coupon may be used per person per day.  This is the time to bring your friends, your family or even your youth group with you to pick up some very useful items!  (Keep reading to find out where to donate!)

These new Harbor Freight coupons can be used all month – usually their coupons are only good for a few days.  That gives you plenty of time to gather your group to shop.

These tools and accessories are perfect to donate to Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes for the older 10-14 age group.  They are also good to donate to other local and overseas charities.  Or perhaps your church has a construction/rehab ministry such as the Reach Mission Trips!

Have you heard about Reach Mission Trips?  Their motto is:  Helping develop youth into transformed servants of Jesus.

Make Friends. Serve Communities. Be Transformed.

Ministering since 1992, Reach Mission Trips is a week-long mission of service to low-income communities.  Working with local agencies and/or local churches, they help homeowners and communities through small construction and repair jobs.  It is a life-changing experience as campers participate in activities that build community and self-esteem, encourages spiritual growth, and enables them to understand their role in combating poverty.

Donate to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital through Toys “R” Us

For the first time ever, Toys”R”Us is partnering with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to raise awareness and funds to support its mission:  Finding cures. Saving children.®  Now through June 12, you can make a donation to St. Jude online HERE or in store at all Toys”R”Us and Babies”R”Us locations across the U.S!

When a child is treated at St. Jude, families never receive a bill for treatment, travel, housing or food — because all they should worry about is helping their child live.  But it does cost a lot for St. Jude to cure a child with cancer using the latest technologies and care.  That is why donations are even more important.

It’s easy to become overwhelmed by this issue, but reading the stories of individual patients who were helped by St. Jude brings it back into focus.  It’s about helping one child at a time.  Maybe my donation is so small – maybe I can only donate $1 – but they add up when thousands and millions of people get involved!

But if even $1 is difficult – here is another way to help!  Between April 23 and April 29, Toys”R”Us will donate $1 to St. Jude (up to $25,000) for every retweet of a special #GivingIsAwesome moment @Toysrus tweet.  WOW – that’s easy!  Make sure to SHARE this with your friends, family and co-workers!

Did you know that you can Volunteer or Fundraise in your own local Area?  They have regional fundraising offices and can help with your fundraising efforts or help you find the right volunteer opportunity in your area.  CLICK HERE for INFO  I have found that with my limited financial resources, I can’t donate large amounts.  But I do have time!  And a willingness to help.  That is often more valuable and useful 🙂

Involve Others – Gather a Group of People to Help

Involve Others!  The most surprising part of being involved in charity work is that the person you help is not the only one who receives the blessing – but the shoppers, crafters, planners, packers, helpers, etc., love it as well.  The more you involve other people, the greater the joy! Welcome to JOY with PURPOSE

Welcome to JOY with PURPOSE – Finding Joy in Helping Others

If that name sounds a little familiar – I’ve written the Clip with Purpose blog for over 5 years.  Alas! that website has been lost with all hands on deck!  I decided to start a brand new blog – and I think the title is even better :

JOY

– it’s something that bubbles up from within, a sense of contentment that goes beyond circumstances.

With PURPOSE

the desire to have a meaningful life.   And meaning for me is helping others.
