Check your local store. Children 12 and under can get a free activity book. While this is a fun item for your children, consider asking them if they would consider donating it to another child in need.
This is a wonderful way to instill empathy and service at a young age. Lots of causes would love this item such as various shoebox appeals, or even shelters or local Birthday Clubs for homeless children.

My readers have told me that although the promotion is for children 12 and under, as teachers they were able to get a free item. Also, some stores might have extra at the end of the day – you could always ask them if they would consider either donating them or giving you as an adult more than 1 copy. Can’t hurt to ask!
