Blog Email Subscription
If you choose to sign up for a blog subscription, thank you for your interest. However, you will never receive any emails from me personally. No emails will be sent by me for any marketing purposes. The only emails you receive will be a notification through WordPress.com that Joy with Purpose has posted a new blog post. Within the email, there will be a very small excerpt of that new blog post with a link to follow leading to the blog if you are interested in any further reading. At the bottom of every email is a link to unsubscribe. You may unsubscribe at any time. I do not sell, rent, or lease these subscription lists to third parties. (WordPress.com Privacy Policy)
To initiate and process subscriptions, the following information is used offsite through JetPack for WordPress: they collect some basic server data for the exclusive purpose of monitoring and preventing abuse and spam. Functionality cookies are set for a duration of 347 days to remember a visitor’s blog and post subscription choices if, in fact, they have an active subscription.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on this site it collects the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
Your email address will never be available publicly. At your option, you may also add an avatar, a profile description, and a link to your website. An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture (if you chose one) is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Visitor comments are checked through an automated spam detection service called Akismet. Therefore the following information is sent to the service for the sole purpose of spam checking: commentor’s name, email address, site URL, IP address, and user agent.
I have no control over who reads your comments, or what other users may do with the information you voluntarily post, so please use caution when posting any personal information or comments.
Cookies and WordPress.com Stats
When you visit my site, traffic log cookies are collected by JetPack and WordPress to identify which pages are being used. IP address, WordPress.com user ID (if logged in), WordPress.com username (if logged in), user agent, visiting URL, referring URL, timestamp of event, browser language, country code. Important: The site owner does not have access to any of this information via this feature. For example, a site owner can see that a specific post has 285 views, but he/she cannot see which specific users/accounts viewed that post. Stats logs — containing visitor IP addresses and WordPress.com usernames (if available) — are retained by Automattic for 28 days and are used for the sole purpose of powering this feature. Any recorded IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information. This information is used only for statistical analysis purposes and then the data is removed from the system.
Overall, traffic cookies help provide you with a better website, by enabling us to monitor which pages you find useful and which you do not. A cookie in no way gives us access to your computer or any information about you, other than the data you choose to share with us.

I also use third party advertisements on JoywithPurpose to support my site.
